How Pair Credit works

Help a teacher find the right resource. Earn credit when it leads to an eligible sale.

When your link helps a teacher buy another creator's resource, you earn Pair Credit from our commission. The resource creator keeps their full earnings.

Share links or search

Two ways to earn Pair Credit.

Share links are one way. Helpful listings that bring teachers to the marketplace count too.

  1. SharedStep 1

    You share a resource link.

  2. PurchasedStep 2

A teacher buys another creator's resource.

    Example: A classroom-ready resource

  3. CreditedStep 3

You earn Pair Credit from our commission.

Where Pair Credit comes from

What makes Pair Credit different.

Funded from our margin, not the resource creator's.

Pair Credit comes out of the platform's commission - never from the creator who made the resource. When you earn Pair Credit, the product creator's earnings are not affected.

Earn credit for 30 days after a click.

After a teacher clicks your link, an eligible purchase within 30 days can earn you Pair Credit. That gives colleagues time to decide whether the resource is right for them.

Collaboration, not marketing.

Pair Credit is not about turning teachers into marketers. It is about recognizing the work of connecting colleagues with materials that help their students.

A $5 sale, step by step

How the math works.

Here's a simple example of Pair Credit in action.

Resource price

$5.00

Creator gets

$4.15

Platform commission

$0.40

Your Pair Credit

$0.08

A teacher buys a $5.00 resource from another creator through your share link. Stripe processing is $0.45. Our 8% commission is $0.40. The creator takes home $4.15. Your Pair Credit is $0.08 (20% of $0.40), and the credit appears in your dashboard.

When your listing is found in search

How Pair Credit from search works.

Quality Score of 40 or higher.

To qualify for Pair Credit from search, your listing needs a Quality Score of at least 40. Quality Score reflects how complete, helpful, and discoverable your listing is - things like description detail, preview images, standards alignment, and tags. You can see your score in your creator dashboard.

The purchase must happen during the same visit.

When a teacher arrives from online search and buys another creator's resource during that same visit, you can earn Pair Credit. This is different from the longer credit window attached to a share link.

Share links always take priority.

If a visitor arrived through both a share link and a listing found in search, the share link gets priority. This ensures the teacher who actively shared a resource gets recognized first.
